marina redevelopment
The Town of Pictou has embarked on an exciting redevelopment project to transform the Hector Quay Visitors Marina into a first-class facility. The redevelopment is expected to take 18 to 24 months, with projected completion slated for 2027. The project focuses on enhancing the marina’s capacity and services, making it a top destination for boaters in the region - expanded berths and amenities, including fuelling stations, water and electrical upgrades, and sewage disposal services. No other public marina between Sydney and Charlottetown will offer this level of services. The redevelopment will also create a vibrant public space.

complimentary moorings
During marina construction, visiting boaters are welcome to use the complimentary labeled moorings at the following coordinates, 45° 40.453'N • 62°42.538'W, on a first come first serve basis. Pictou Harbour also offers several safe anchorages. Tenders can be docked at the small wharf located in front of the above coordinates. For more info call 1-902-485-4372.
what's open at the marina
While construction continues on the Hector Quay Visitor's Marina, our eateries are still open and other amenities relocated to other areas of the waterfront.
